Hi,

I've installed a 90s Windsor in a 65 Mustang but would like to use original 65 era gold rocker covers. I read somewhere there might be clearance issues with the roller heads. Does anyone here on the forum know or tried this?
Thanks
Tony

I think the 'walls' where the rocker covers sit are too low to clear factory covers with rollers on a factory head. Aftermarket heads have a higher wall (my Dart head do, and I have early rocker covers on them OK)
You can get spacers that sit the covers higher. Pretty sure Rocket have them over here.

Thanks. I should have clarified the whole engine is a roller 5.0 with the standard heads it came with. Just wanted to check if original 289 (gold) rocker covers would fit on these heads?
